Peace Is Gods Guiding Force

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Have you ever sought God’s direction about a situation and there was no specific word in the bible that dealt with it? If so, the answer is found in our text where it says to let peace
“act as umpire continually in your hearts, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds.” Letting peace be your guide is something we grow into as we learn the difference between the absence of peace and fear. Although they might have similar characteristics, fear always brings along his cousin; torment (1John 4:18 AMP).
This is where the enemy will attempt to play mental gymnastics with your thought life, bombarding you with a bunch of negativity, especially when you try to sleep.
My experiences with this usually tell me that I’m on the right course especially if it involves doing something for God. On the other hand the absence of peace is when you have that gentle, unsettled feeling in your spirit where it just doesn’t feel quite right.
God is on your side (Hebrews 13:5 AMP) so don’t fret about it your answer will come.
