Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
One thing I’ve learned is that it pays to continue to speak the word of God no matter what comes my way. Our text makes it clear that life and death are in our tongues and whichever one we chose we’ll enjoy the fruit of it. When we speak the word of God it releases power and is the perfect example of our God given authority to receive what we say (Mark 11:23). The bible is full of not only promises but answers to all of life’s questions so read it. God has made everything available to us (2 Peter 1:3) and you can’t have it if you won’t say it, so speak up!
